12: New York Beauty Block - Saturday 1/14/23
This is a really fun block, not for beginners, but not as hard as it looks. Nothing has to match, anything goes! Paper piecing experience is NOT required. We will go through that part step by step.
This is the “Theme” block challenge for the 2024 GSQA quilt show also!
In this class you will be shown how to make 12 blocks. Four blocks will create the big 18 inch block we have pictured. The size of the quilt you make will be left up to you!
Included in the class price of $35:
- Fabric for 12 squares
- Piecing paper
- Pattern
You will need to bring the following to class:
- Sewing machine
- Regular sewing supplies (pins, clips, thread, etc.)
- Scissors
- Open toed foot or one that allows you to follow a line to sew
- 6” or larger ruler
- Rotary cutter
The shop will have the following available for you to use:
- Cutting mats
- Ironing stations

Pick up your kit and have at least 4 block cut out before class.
