15: Wednesday 12 Month Sampler Quilt - A - Long
This is a one day class each month. We have a Wednesday OR Saturday option for you to choose from. Whichever day you choose will be your assigned day each month. Wednesday class will meet on the last Wednesday each month and Saturday class will meet on the 3rd Saturday each month. If you miss a class you will be able to make it up at the next class date.
Class Details – An entry level beginner quilt class, where the student will learn:
o basic quilt knowledge and terms
o how to measure and cut fabric
o how to piece 12 beginner blocks
o how to press fabric for best piecing results
o how to join blocks with sashing and cornerstones
o how to add inner and outer borders
Completion of Class – you will have a beautifully pieced quilt top that measures 54x65.
Supplies needed:
o a working sewing machine (that you know how to use)
o a ¼ inch foot or some type of tape or guide
o white cotton thread
o straight pins
o scissors
o ruler if you have one, the shop will have extras & some available for purchase.
**cutting mats, quilt rulers, rotary cutters, and iron will be provided
Each month you will receive the fabric required to make your block at the beginning of class. Closer to the end of class you will receive the fabric for the sashing, outer borders, and binding.
**You will still need to purchase backing fabric and either quilt it or have it quilted to have a completed quilt.
