R4: How To Hand Bind Your Quilts - Wednesday 11/16
Included in class price:
We will provide everyone with a small quilt sandwich to practice on. You are also welcome to bring a SMALL project of your own to bind.
Example: table runner, pot holder, placemat, etc.
Please bring the following with you to class:
- Sewing Machine ( you will attach the binding to your sample and then finish by hand )
- Scissors
- Thimble
- Needle threader if you need one
- Neutral Sewing Thread (We carry Aurifil)
- Hand stitching needle of your choice
- Clips
- Rotary cutter, cutting mat, personal ironing mat, etc.
*We do have an iron and ironing board for you to use.
* Ms. Robben will provide starch and glue to show you these helpful options.
*There are tons of needles and thimbles out there! Please bring what you think you would like. Most of these supplies will be specific to your preference. For example, some people prefer longer needles to shorter ones for hand binding.
