27: Crazy Patch Quilt Class - Saturday

Crazy Patch Blocks

This is a really fun block that goes pretty fast once you get started.  It is not a precise pattern, you can make them with a picture in the center or with plain fabric.  You can use colorful or pale fabric for the center using scraps or focus on a particular subject.  The quilt will be 27” x 36” and you can add borders or make more blocks to make it bigger.

Supply List:

Sewing machine

Extension cord/multi plug

Regular sewing supplies (scissors, pins, seam ripper, etc.)

Rotary cutter (the shop has cutting mats available to use.)

9.5” square ruler

*optional extra fabric and 6”x12” ruler

** If you have a small iron and ironing pad bring them, we will be doing lots of ironing.  (The shop has 4 ironing boards and 2 irons available for use.)

20 Fabric strips cut 2” to 3” wide by width of fabric.  (Half a jelly roll can be used, the more variety in colors you have the better.)

If you are using pictures for the center, cut 12 pieces into 3” to 4” squares.  They do not need to be perfectly square.  If you are unsure just bring your fabric to cut in class.
